Empowering Women Through Artisanal Beadwork
"Beadwork has given me financial independence. I can now pay for my children's school fees and invest in our family's future. The cooperative has taught me how to save and manage money wisely."

Beadwork is more than just an art—it is a lifeline for rural women in Kajiado County. The Rural Women Network (RWN) Beadwork Value Chain Initiative fosters job creation, income generation, cultural preservation, women's financial independence, and cooperative strengthening.
The initiative has created sustainable economic opportunities for women while promoting Maasai traditional beadwork and innovating for modern markets. Women are now able to support their families and invest in education and healthcare through their beadwork income.
Through cooperative strengthening, the program encourages group savings, financial literacy, and collective bargaining power, enabling women to take control of their economic futures.
